Halal foods
Halal foods are those foods where the ingredients are prepared and processed in ways that comply with Islamic law. In Arabic, Halal means “allowed,” and halal food cannot contain pork or alcohol, with meat prepared according to religious precepts. Because the processes that go into a food’s production cannot be determined just by looking at it, certification marks are used to distinguish food as halal.
